The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for parts of Kerala as moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over the next few days.

According to the latest forecast, isolated heavy rain is likely in the following districts:

Yellow alert:

  • November 9, 2025: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha
  • November 10, 2025: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha

The IMD has cautioned that some areas may experience isolated heavy showers, with rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within 24 hours. Residents are advised to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours and follow local advisories issued by district authorities.

While widespread flooding is not currently anticipated, short spells of intense rain could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic disruptions in urban regions.
