India's COVID-19 cases have surged to 6,133, with 378 new infections reported in the past 24 hours. Kerala continues to be the worst-hit state, contributing significantly to the rising caseload.
Kerala is leading with 144 reported COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, followed by Gujarat with 105 cases, and West Bengal with 71 cases. Kerala also reported 3 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hrs. The deceased include a 51-year-old and a 92-year-old male who died from respiratory failure, while another was a 64-year-old male who succumbed to bilateral pneumonia.
Despite the rise in COVID-19 cases, officials have stated that the infections are generally mild, and the public shouldn't panic, although states are maintaining a heightened state of alertness.
