Kalpetta: Kerala will offer cyber security training for women via ‘Little KITEs IT clubs’ as part of the second 100-day programme of the LDF government. Minister of Education V Sivankutty will inaugurate the programme on Saturday morning.
The initial phase of cyber safety class will be provided to the first 150 parents who register at the high schools with ‘Little KITEs’ units. 30 persons will comprise the first batch for which classes will be held till May 20. The topics that will be covered in the sessions include how to use smart phones, internet, safe use of internet, safety of OTP, PIN and similar passwords, mobile phone use of parents and children, accessibility of news, cyber attacks, precautions for online money transactions and scope of the internet.
Four selected students, who are members of Little KITEs and the KITE masters (teachers) in each school will supervise the programme. The parents have to contact the Little KITEs units in schools to attend the training programme.
