Malappuram: The 64th edition of the Kerala School Kalolsavam will take place in Thrissur from January 7 to 11, 2026, Education Minister V Sivankutty announced at a press conference in Malappuram. The school-level competitions are scheduled for September, followed by sub-district events in October and district-level contests in November. The formation of the organising committee will be held at the Thrissur Indoor Stadium on August 12.

State School Olympics in Thiruvananthapuram this October

The State school sports competitions, known as the School Olympics, will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from October 22 to 27. The event will be organised like the Olympics, with around 24,000 student athletes competing in 39 sporting disciplines listed in the official sports manual.

District-level competitions will be conducted from August to September. Students following the Kerala syllabus from Gulf countries are also expected to take part in the event. The Olympics will be inclusive, featuring sports for children with special needs. A torch relay will be held from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram to promote the event.

Technical and Special School Kalolsavam announced

The Kalotsavam for Technical Training Institutes (TTI and PPTTI) will be held in Wayanad on September 12. The event will take place at the Teachers Bhavan Auditorium in Sultan Bathery, from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Meanwhile, the Special School Kalotsavam is scheduled to be held in Malappuram from November 6 to 8, showcasing the talents of children with special needs.
