Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow weather alerts across various districts in Kerala over the next five days, predicting heavy to very heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms. Residents are urged to remain cautious as changing weather patterns could trigger localized flooding and landslides.

An orange alert signifies a high probability of very heavy rainfall ranging between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm within a 24-hour window. A yellow alert indicates isolated heavy rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm.
