Pathanamthitta (Kerala): The District Collector of Pathanamthitta has declared a holiday on Thursday, August 6, 2026, for all educational institutions in Thiruvalla Taluk, as well as specific schools operating as relief camps across other taluks in the district, following heavy rainfall.

According to the official order issued by the Pathanamthitta District Collector, holiday will be there for 

  • Thiruvalla Taluk: All educational institutions, from Anganwadis to professional colleges, will remain closed on August 6.
  • Other Taluks in Pathanamthitta: The holiday applies only to those specific schools currently functioning as relief camps for rain-affected residents. All other schools will function as usual.
     

     

Parents and students are advised to confirm with their respective school authorities regarding relief-camp status.
