Kerala PSC sets record with 902 job notifications and 36,813 appointment recommendations in 2025.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Public Service Commission (PSC) set a record in 2025 in issuing job recruitment notifications. A total of 902 notifications were released during the year. The previous highest was in 2022, with 816 notifications.
Of the 902 notifications issued in 2025, 294 were published on December 30 and 31 alone. In 2024, there were 812 notifications in total—90 fewer than in 2025. The first notification of the year was for the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS).
There was also an increase in appointment recommendations compared to the previous year. In 2025, the PSC sent appointment advice for 36,813 candidates—2,619 more than in 2024. That year, 34,194 candidates had received appointment recommendations. From 2023 onwards, PSC has been able to send more than 30,000 appointment recommendations for three consecutive years. Taking the figures from 2016 onwards, the number of total recommendations since the Left government came to power has crossed 3 lakh. The highest number of recommendations in PSC’s history was in 2010, when 44,272 candidates received appointment advice.
In 2025, the PSC published rank lists for a total of 1,130 posts and prepared shortlists for 1,276 posts. Examinations were conducted for 1,405 posts in the year. The recruitment process for the second batch of the Kerala Administrative Service was also completed, and the rank list is expected in February.
