The disruption is linked to repair work at the Power Grid Corporation’s 400 kV sub-station in Kozhikode

Kannur: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has warned of possible partial power outages across four districts of the state. Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod are likely to experience power restrictions for up to seven days starting Tuesday.
The disruption is linked to repair work at the Power Grid Corporation’s 400 kV sub-station in Kozhikode. A transformer at the facility will be taken out of service for urgent maintenance following a defect in its 220 kV bushing.
According to the Power Grid Corporation, the repair work is expected to take around seven days to complete. In view of this, KSEB has cautioned that intermittent power restrictions may be imposed across the affected districts during this period.
