While everyone in Kerala is celebrating with excitement over the Kerala State Film Awards, the Kerala police decided to get in on the fun with a twist!

In a witty and timely Facebook post, they turned the spotlight on a different kind of award show: the “Cyber Fraud Prevention Awards.”

The police post, styled just like an awards announcement, cleverly handed out 'awards' to people who take online financial fraud seriously and know how to prevent it.

The categories were pure gold: 'Best Individual,' for the person who's careful not to share personal details or OTP during online transactions, 'Special Jury Award,' for the person who do not fall for fake informations shared by the fraudsters and  'Best Act,' for the person who inform the police within the golden hour at 1930.

But this wasn’t just for laughs. The police made sure to share an important message, "if you ever fall victim to online financial fraud, don’t waste any time, report it to the cyber police within the first hour(Golden Hour), by dialing 1930. The quicker you report it, the better your chances of getting your money back," they wrote.

They also reminded everyone that complaints can be easily filed on their website, www.cybercrime.gov.in.
