A Kerala-bound passenger returning from Dubai died after suffering a cardiac arrest while completing immigration formalities at Hyderabad airport.

A journey home from Dubai ended in tragedy for a passenger from Kerala who died after suffering a cardiac arrest at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad on Monday.
The passenger, identified as Ravindra from Kerala, had arrived at the Shamshabad airport from Dubai and was in the process of completing immigration formalities when he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.
According to reports, Ravindra was preparing to continue his journey to Kerala on a connecting flight from RGIA. However, before he could complete the onward journey, he collapsed during the immigration check.
The incident triggered an immediate response at the airport, with immigration officials and RGIA police stepping in to assist. Despite the efforts made following the medical emergency, the passenger died.
The incident occurred in the immigration area of the airport, where Ravindra was reportedly completing the required formalities after arriving from Dubai.
Following his death, immigration officials, with the assistance of RGIA police, began efforts to contact his family members in Kerala.
Authorities are also working to establish further details surrounding the incident and the passenger's travel arrangements.
The sudden death has cast a pall of tragedy over what was reportedly a routine transit through Hyderabad for the Kerala-bound passenger.
Ravindra had travelled from Dubai and was scheduled to continue towards Kerala after his arrival at RGIA. His journey, however, came to an abrupt end before he could board the connecting flight.
At present, authorities have not released further information about Ravindra's age, hometown, or the circumstances surrounding his medical history.
The incident comes as airports remain busy transit points for passengers travelling between the Gulf region and various parts of India, including Kerala, which has a large expatriate population in the Middle East.
Further details, including information about the passenger's family and the formalities following his death, are awaited.
