Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Lottery Department has increased the first prize of the Onam Bumper Lottery from ₹25 crore to ₹30 crore. The state government has also reduced the third prize from ₹50 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
Lottery Department Director Anju KS said Chief Minister VD Satheesan will launch the Onam Bumper ticket on July 17. The ticket price remains unchanged at ₹500 (base price ₹357.14 plus 40% GST).
While 90 lakh tickets have been earmarked for distribution to agents, the final number printed will depend on demand.
The ticket series are: TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL.
Prize structure
• First Prize: ₹30 crore (1 winner)
• Second Prize: ₹1 crore each for 20 winners (2 winners from each series)
• Third Prize: ₹25 lakh each for 20 winners (2 winners from each series)
• Fourth Prize: ₹5 lakh each for 10 winners (1 winner from each series)
• Fifth Prize: ₹2 lakh each for 10 winners (1 winner from each series)
• Sixth Prize: ₹5,000 each for 54,000 winners
• Seventh Prize: ₹2,000 each for 81,000 winners
• Eighth Prize: ₹1,000 each for 1,24,200 winners
• Ninth Prize: ₹500 each for 2,75,400 winners
• Consolation Prize: ₹5 lakh each for 9 winners
The total prize money stands at ₹125.54 crore.
The draw will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on September 26.
The Lottery Department reiterated that online sale of lottery tickets is illegal. Buyers have been advised to purchase only printed tickets from licensed agents and not to buy tickets through social media platforms or digital payment links.
