When pressed to elaborate on what he meant by "political drama," Chandrasekhar declined to provide further details

Durg: BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that he had extended help when the Church sought assistance in securing the release of the nuns arrested in Chhattisgarh. He claimed the release should have taken place three days earlier and alleged that a "political drama" was responsible for the delay. Chandrasekhar clarified that he had expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and the Home Minister.
When pressed to elaborate on what he meant by "political drama," Chandrasekhar declined to provide further details. He also avoided responding to questions about whether the FIR would be quashed or if he would intervene to prevent such incidents in the future. “Don’t try to create a controversy,” he said, visibly agitated.
Meanwhile, MP John Brittas criticised Chandrasekhar’s involvement, stating that he should not be part of such "dirty games." He questioned the necessity of two Union ministers, arguing that George Kurian and Suresh Gopi are unfit to remain in office.
Brittas further alleged that George Kurian became a minister by leveraging his Christian identity and citing the Catholic Church. He added that it would be best if BJP leaders went to church and confessed the sins they have committed.
