Palakkad: Kerala Motor Vehicle Department has sought the help of the public to nab those who violate the road safety rules. The move from MVD aims to identify people who illegally modify vehicles, violate traffic rules, and drive rashly.
The MVD will conduct inspections under 'Operation Silence' based on the information shared by people to identify the violators. So far, thousands of cases were registered in the state.
People can share information on such rule-breakers by contacting MVD offices via phone. Further, the photos or videos of the vehicle's number plate etc should be submitted before the enforcement RTO in each district. The details of the place of the incident including Taluk and district should be provided. The details of the informant would be kept secret.
