Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP leader Shaun George has lodged a complaint against ruling front MLA P V Anvar, alleging he concealed a crime despite being aware of it.

The complaint, lodged with the DGP via email on Thursday morning, claimed that the Nilambur MLA failed to approach the court or the police even after learning about the offences of ADGP M R Ajith Kumar.

In the complaint, Shaun George accused Anvar of attempting to cover up the crime instead of reporting it to the police as a responsible public representative. The complaint demands that a case be registered against Anvar under Section 239 (Intentional omission to give information of offence by person bound to inform) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
