Kerala MLA MK Muneer gets life threat over anti-Taliban FB post
Kozhikode: The MLA from Koduvally constituency and leader of Indian Union Muslim League MK Muneer has got a life threat over his Facebook post against the Taliban atrocities in Afghanistan. The anonymous letter asks him to withdraw the post in 24 hours to avoid killing the MLA and his family. The FB post is not against Taliban but against the entire Muslim community, the letter says.
The letter highlights his participation in a programme organised by Shivasena and a book publishing ceremony of BJP leader Sreedharan Pillai to allege that he is anti-Muslim and fond of RSS ideologies. It threatens the MLA further by reminding him of the situation of TJ Joseph, who was assaulted by a religious group. The letter tells him not to follow the path of the professor.
It was on Wednesday morning, Muneer received the letter, reportedly posted from near Kozhikode Medical College. Muneer mulls approaching police over the letter titled ‘Taliban a wonder’. Even before Muslim League’s official comment on the Taliban came, Muneer had come out on his FB page against the Taliban atrocities in Afghanistan.
