Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty assures house for deserving School Olympics record setters.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty announced that deserving students who achieve gold medals or set meet records in the State School Olympics will be provided with houses.
He also stated that a committee will soon be formed to finalise the criteria for eligibility. According to the minister, sponsors have come forward to provide 50 houses under this initiative.
For instance, Devapriya from Idukki has reportedly been informed by the CPM Idukki district committee that she will be provided a house. Similarly, Devananda from Kozhikode, under the Kerala Scouts and Guides of the General Education Department, will also receive a newly constructed house.
The Minister explained on Facebook that, given the number of eligible students, the General Education Department plans to scale this into a larger programme. The initial target, he noted, is to provide 50 houses.
