Thiruvananthapuram: Decorations inside cars obstructing the vision of the driver will not be allowed in Kerala. The government has directed the transport commissioner to take action against cars which carry decorations.
Most of the people hang decorations like artefacts and garlands on the rear view mirror at the centre of the windshield.
The government observed that these decorations will obstruct the vision of the driver. Placing dolls and cushions close to the back glass is also made illegal.
Earlier, the Motor Vehicle Department has directed to take action against cars with sun films and curtains. Glasses of the cars should be transparent, directs MVD.
