Thiruvananthapuram: A major administrative reshuffle has been ordered at the IAS level in Kerala, with six district collectors among those transferred. Orders were also issued for multiple key postings across departments.

The move comes days after the newly sworn-in United Democratic Front (UDF) government took office following the assembly election verdict.

Officials holding significant positions have been shifted under the new order on Saturday. A total of 14 civil service officers have been transferred, with instructions to assume charge on Monday (25.05.26).

GST commissioner and key secretariat postings changed

P.B. Nooh has been appointed GST Commissioner. Rathan U. Kelkar, Chief Electoral Officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Patil Ajit Bhagwatrao, who was serving as GST Commissioner, has been moved as Finance Department Secretary. In his place, Nooh, previously Special Secretary in the Transport Department, will take over as GST Commissioner.

K. Inbasekar, former Alappuzha Collector, has been appointed Managing Director of the Water Authority. Shaji V. Nair, Chief Executive Officer of Kochi Smart Mission, is the new Alappuzha Collector.

District collectors reshuffled across Kerala

Kannur Collector Arun K. Vijayan has been shifted as Industries Department Director and has also been given additional charge as Managing Director of KSIDC. Vishnuraj P., who was Industries Department Director, has been appointed Kannur District Collector.

Snehil Kumar Singh, Kozhikode Collector, has been appointed Entrance Commissioner. M.S. Madhavikutty, former Palakkad Collector, is the new Kozhikode District Collector. K. Sudhir, Director of Collegiate Education, will take charge as Palakkad District Collector.

Pathanamthitta Collector S. Prem Krishnan has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Health Department. He has been replaced by A. Nizamudeen, Director of KILA (Kerala Institute of Local Administration), as the new District Collector.

N. Devidas, former Kollam Collector, has been appointed Director of KILA. Anie Jula Thomas, Joint Secretary in the Industries Department, is the new Kollam District Collector.

Alappuzha Sub-Collector Sameer Kishan has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Industries Department.

Among the newly appointed district collectors, only M.S. Madhavikutty of Palakkad has been posted as collector in another district. The remaining five have been shifted to various departments.
