Beloved Angamaly cat dies after alleged neighbour shooting; family mourns cherished pet.

Angamaly, Kerala: A family in Angamaly is grieving the loss of their beloved pet cat, Lallu Baby, after the animal was allegedly shot by a neighbour on Tuesday night.
Lallu Baby, just one year old, suffered severe spinal cord damage. Despite treatment, the cat could not be saved. Post-mortem was conducted at the Angamaly Veterinary Hospital, and samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory in Kakkanad for further examination. The pet was later buried in the family compound.
Other cat also injured
Two of Padmakumar’s cats were reportedly shot. While one survived, Lallu Baby, known for being affectionate and playful, could not recover from the injuries.
Police action underway
Following a complaint, the police registered a case against neighbour Shaju Joseph, who allegedly fired at the cats with an airgun. The suspected weapon has been seized for forensic testing.
Family in sorrow
Padmakumar, a document writer and passionate animal lover, is devastated by the loss. His family described Lallu Baby as an inseparable part of their lives.
