Thiruvananthapuram: MLA VD Satheesan will be the new leader of opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly. The High Command of Congress has taken the decision in this regard. According to reports, an official announcement will be made around 11 am on Saturday.
The High Command has decided to elect Satheesan as opposition leader after examining the report filed by Malikarjun Kharge. It is reported that the majority of MPs and Congress state committee want a change in the leadership.
It is reported that Congress MPs except one supported Satheesan.
Young MLAs strongly supported Satheesan’s entry as opposition leader. Observing this, the High Command decided to replace Chennithala with Satheesan.
According to reports, High Command has informed the state leadership of the election of Satheesan as leader of opposition in Kerala assembly.
