MR Raghava Warrier named Kerala Jyothi laureate in 2025 Kerala Awards; eight achievers recognised for contributions in varied fields.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Awards for 2025 have been announced. Noted Historian MR Raghava Warrier will receive the Kerala Jyothi Award for his contributions to education. PB Aneesh has been chosen for the Kerala Prabha Award for his work in the agricultural sector, while Rajashree Warrier will also receive the Kerala Prabha Award for her contributions to the arts.
Sasikumar will be honoured with the Kerala Sree Award for his work in the media. TKM Trust Chairman Shahal Hasan Musaliyar has been recognised for his contributions to education, MK Vimal Govind for his work in startups, Jilumol Mariet Thomas for her multifaceted social activities, and Abhilash Tomy for his achievements in sports.
Modelled after the Padma Awards, the Kerala government presents the Kerala Jyothi, Kerala Prabha and Kerala Sree honours to individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields. The Kerala Jyothi is awarded to one person, the Kerala Prabha to two people, and the Kerala Sree to five people each year.
A notification inviting nominations for the 2025 Kerala Awards was issued on April 8.
