Kollam: Kunnathur MLA Kovoor Kunjumon has been ousted from the Revolutionary Socialist Party (Leninist). Party state secretary Baladev informed that Kovoor Kunjumon was expelled from his post in the RSP (L).
The state secretary informed that RSP (L) would field a party candidate if Kovoor Kunjumon was given a seat in the assembly polls. Baladev alleged that the party lost the posts it could have received in boards and corporations because of the MLA’s interventions.
Kovoor Kunjumon was the only MLA of RSP (L). Kunjumon contested the previous Assembly polls as an independent candidate. The RSP (L) was recognised by the Election Commission after the election only.
The issues between Baladev and Kunjumon have intensified recently. Baladev said that Kunjumon decided to give the PSC membership, which the LDF gave to the party, to a person outside the RSP (L). Meanwhile, Kunjumon alleged that Baladev does not discuss party related matters with him.
