Kollam: Popular Malayalam actor Jagadish has hinted of contesting the upcoming Kerala assembly polls.

Responding to questions on his candidature, the actor stated that he will inform the matter in the coming days. He promised that to address the media soon and inform the details.

“I want to become the prime minister of India. So, I would definitely try my best if I get an opportunity,” said Jagadish.

Pathanapuram constituency has witnessed a political battle between the stars during the assembly polls in 2016.

Congress (B) leader KB Ganesh Kumar scored a hat-trick victory from this seat by a margin of 24,562 votes during the last polls. Jagadish contested from Pathanapuram seat as UDF candidate. While NDA fielded another actor Bheeman Raghu in the same constituency.

Jagadish obtained 49,867 votes in 2016 polls.
