Thiruvananthapuram: The opposition suggested some amendments in the resolution presented by the chief minister against the farm laws of the central government. MLA K C Joseph has put forward suggestions to include the protest against the prime minister too in the resolution as he did not even hold discussions. He also opined that the farmers’ protest is the second freedom struggle.

The Governor rejected the request to convene the special assembly session and that was a challenge to democracy. He has no right to oppose the decision of the elected government that has majority in the assembly. But the government took this lightly. They need not send the ministers to beg before the Governor, K C Joseph said.

Kerala passed the resolution against the law that was passed 100 days ago. There was a huge delay. Instead of passing a resolution just for namesake, they should have passed a law to cancel the Centre’s law. The government withdrew by passing a resolution casually, K C Joseph alleged.
