Kozhikode: Karat Razak, the former independent MLA backed by the CPM from Koduvally, has made it clear that he does not support the allegations levelled by MLA P.V. Anvar against the Kerala Chief Minister and the government. Razak stated that as a companion of the Left and the CPM, he stands firmly with them only.

Razak said that Anvar has now become an independent MLA and can also assume the role of an opposition MLA and return to Congress if he wishes.

Razak mentioned that he had initially supported Anvar; however, circumstances have led to a situation where he can no longer cooperate with him. He highlighted that the party and the Chief Minister had recommended that Anvar resolve the controversies. "However, Anvar was not ready to comply. He raised allegations repeatedly. Now he has openly made allegations against the party, the front, and the Chief Minister," Razak noted.

However, he acknowledged that Anvar might have encountered challenges from the party, the front, and the Chief Minister, which could have triggered this action.

Razak emphasised that he had no idea what Anvar knew about the controversial issues. He added that it is ultimately Anvar's choice to express opinions that diverge from the party's directives. “Every individual is entitled to their perspective. He can pursue his own path,” Razak added.
