Manjeri: National Investigation Agency (NIA) confiscated the property of Green Valley Academy, Karaparamba, alleging it to be a training centre for Popular Front of India (PFI). The NIA also said that this place provided shelter to murder accused individuals.
The NIA came to the institution at 6 PM on Monday and put up a property seizure notice. This was helmed by the Chief Inspector of the Kochi Unit, Umesh Rai.
Following the ban on the PFI, an examination was carried out in this institution by the NIA. During this investigation, a few books and mobile phones were seized from the library of the Technical Institute housed in the academy.
Information regarding the relationship between the arrested PFI leaders and the establishment were also collected. It is believed that this current property seizure happened as a further step in this case. As this is a developing case, no further information has been made available.
Various educational institutions are under the aegis of the Green Valley Academy.
