Kannur: Kannur District Collector Arun K Vijayan reiterated that ADM Naveen Babu had visited him after the farewell ceremony. The Collector clarified that he had shared what he knew with the investigative team, and it is up to the police to determine whether that information is accurate or not. The Collector also said that he has nothing to disclose beyond what has emerged through judicial proceedings.

"The investigation team needed to be informed about all the events that transpired that day. Among the matters discussed was Naveen Babu coming to see me in my chamber after the farewell ceremony. I have not concealed anything. I cannot refrain from stating the truth; that is why I provided a statement to the investigative team. I have shared everything I needed to say, and I cannot say more," the Collector stated.

He noted that he had refrained from disclosing any information thus far due to the ongoing investigation, and now that the court has revealed certain details, he is acknowledging them. The Collector also mentioned that the same information was conveyed while giving the statement before the Joint Commissioner of Land Revenue. 

He reiterated that Naveen had visited his chamber after the farewell ceremony and expressed that something had gone wrong, as he had mentioned in his statement to the police.
