Pathanamthitta: Manjusha, wife of deceased ADM Naveen Babu, has once again come up against Kannur Collector Arun K. Vijayan, highlighting his conduct at the farewell event that led to her husband's death.

Revealing more on why she did not want the collector to visit her family after Babu's death, Manjusha noted that in the farewell video, the collector was seen smiling while her husband was in distress. "After the incident, the collector did not seem willing to offer any words of comfort," she said.

Manjusha reiterated that Naveen had no friendship with the collector. "There is no chance that he would speak openly with someone he is hesitant even to ask for leave," she said.

Manjusha stated that even when relatives went to receive Babu's body, the collector did not say anything about the meetup. Notably, she expressed surprise that the collector's statement came out "suddenly."

She also expressed her satisfaction with the actions taken against CPM leader and former Kannur district panchayat president P.P. Divya, who has been implicated in Babu's death.

Manjusha had earlier said that her husband had no rapport with the collector. "There is no chance that Naveen could have opened up to him. The collector is not someone with whom personal matters could be shared. I don’t believe the collector; his statements are suspicious,” she said.

Interestingly, the collector had previously said that there was no communication with Babu after the farewell function. He later changed his stance, claiming that Babu had come to his chamber and said he made a mistake. This statement was quoted by P.P. Divya’s advocate during the trial.
