Thiruvananthapuram: A major bureaucratic rejig has been carried out in the state. Transport Secretary Biju Prabhakar has been transferred and posted as Industries Secretary. The IAS officer had earlier expressed his willingness to step down from his post owing to differences with the new Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar. K Vasuki will assume charge as the new Transport Secretary. She will also function as the Director of the Loka Kerala Sabha.  

Meanwhile, Biju Prabhakar will continue holding responsibilities of various affairs including Metro, Railways and Devaswom in the departments under the control of Kerala CM and his cabinet colleagues. However, it is still not ascertained whether he will continue as the KSRTC CMD or not. In addition to this, Arjun Pandian has been appointed as the new Labour Commissioner and Saurabh Jain will assume office as the new Energy Secretary.
