Kozhikode: Congress veteran and Vadakara MP K Muraleedharan said that the comments of CPM leader Elamaram Kareem on Rajya Sabha-elect PT Usha and MLA KK Rema were the ugly face of 'Pinarayism'.

They killed her colleague and termed Rema a traitor, said Muraleedharan at Kozhikode.

He congratulated Olympian Usha for her nomination as an MP.

PT Usha doesn't show obedience to any political party. There is no need to criticise her RS membership. If the union government does a right thing, it has to be accepted, Muraleedharan said.

MP Kareem had slammed the nomination of Usha.
