Kochi: A judge came to the rescue of a lawyer who faced assault from a car driver on a public road in Kochi on Thursday.
The incident happened on Foreshore road on Thursday morning after the car of Todupuzha native Jijo Sebastian rammed on to the rear of the car driven by lawyer Leo Lucose. Following this, Jijo assaulted the lawyer and slapped him.
High Court Judge N Nagaresh, who was on the way to the court, witnessed the assault and directed a police officer accompanying him to intervene. Later, the accused was handed over to the police. The lawyer is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
