Kozhikode: Muhammad Jifri Muthukkoya Thangal, president of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, has said that he is ready to relinquish his post if people feel that he is not fit for the job. “If I step down, an eligible person shall be appointed to the post. Members should refrain from activities that weaken the organisation,” Jifri Thangal requested his followers.
Meanwhile, Sadiq Ali Thangal said that one should not fall for the bait laid by people with vested interests.
“It’s important to resolve the differences and uphold the interests of the community. A few people are constantly trying to stir up controversies. Members of the organisation shall be smart enough to identify the agendas against the community. They shall overcome all the temptations and stay united,” said Sadiq Ali Thangal.
The leaders were addressing the gathering at the Jamia Nooriya meeting held in Malappuram.
