Tirurangadi: In a remarkable achievement, Muhammad Jaseem of Cherumukku Salamathu Nagar, wrote the Holy Quran by hand in calligraphy on a 1.25 kilometre long paper scroll.
His writing will be evaluated by the Guiness World Record officials at an exhibition at Kozhikode beach on December 17.
Reportedly, Jaseem began writing during the pandemic and finished the project within two years. He has written all 114 chapters of the holy book.
The current world record in this regard is held by an Egyptian native, who had written the Quran in a 700-metre long scroll.
Many including Panakkad Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal have lauded Jaseem for his achievement.
