Thrissur: Minister for Cooperation and Registration VN Vasavan had informed the Kerala Assembly that financial irregularities are reported in 399 cooperative societies in Kerala.
Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday had said that Kerala has 16,255 cooperative societies registered in the state and only less than 1.5 per cent of these had reported irregularities.
At66, Thrissur district has the highest number of societies having irregularities, followed by Malappuram (55) and Thiruvananthapuram (49). Meanwhile, Palakkad (3) had the fewest such cases reported.

Kollam: 42, Pathanamthitta: 9, Alappuzha: 11, Kottayam: 46, Idukki: 14, Ernakulam: 33, Thrissur: 66, Palakkad: 3, Kozhikode: 11, Wayanad: 18, Kannur: 24, Kasaragod: 18.
