Malappuram: Two thieves involved in various theft cases were nabbed. Malappuram natives Abdul Latif (32) and Abdul Karim (41) were arrested by the Kottakal police. They were arrested in Mancheri while they were plotting massive robberies in Malappuram and Palakkad districts during the puja holidays.

They were caught for stealing 11 sovereigns of gold, Rs 76,000 and a scooter by forcing open the door of a house while the owners were away on October 16. Considering the gravity of the case, on the instructions of the District police chief Sujith Das, a special team was formed and they were able to nab the accused in time.
