To manage the Independence Day travel rush, Indian Railways will run an unreserved special train (06131) from Mangaluru to Shoranur on Thursday, departing at 6.00 pm and reaching at 12.30 am. Stops include Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, and more.

Kannur: In anticipation of increased passenger traffic for the Independence Day holiday, an unreserved special train (No. 06131) will operate on the Mangaluru–Shoranur route this Thursday evening. The train will depart from Mangaluru at 6.00 pm and is scheduled to arrive in Shoranur at 12.30 am.
The train will halt at the following stations en route: Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Nileshwar, Cheruvathur, Payyannur, Pazhayangadi, Kannur, Thalassery, Mahe, Vadakara, Koyilandy, Kozhikode, Feroke, Tirur and Kuttippuram.
