Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police is gearing up to become more public friendly with new initiatives. Senior officers in the force will call up the complainants to collect feedback from them on their experiences at the police stations.

This system will be enforced when police stations are declared as Service Delivery Centres.

When complaints are registered at the station, message will be passed to senior officers. Following this, district police chiefs, range DIGs and Zonal IGs will contact any ten complainants in the station limit and collect feedback. ADGPs (Law and Order) and state police chief will phone any ten complainants in the state daily and collect details.

The experience at the station while registering the complainant and the satisfactory level on the measures taken on the complaint will be enquired.  It is also decided to digitize the complaints in a similar way as that of crime and criminal tracking network system.

State police chief Loknath Behera also informed that based on the response from the complainants, if required, changes will be brought in the procedures to be followed after receiving the complaints.
