AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal clarifies his active role in Kerala politics, focusing on party strengthening and UDF victory, not seeking any personal post or chair

Kozhikode: AICC General Secretary and MP KC Venugopal said he will continue to be active in Kerala politics, but not with the intention of seeking any post.
“I am an MP elected by the people of Alappuzha. I will remain active in Kerala to strengthen the party and help both the Congress and the UDF triumph,” Venugopal said.
He said that his active involvement in Kerala is aimed at bringing the Marxist party down from power. “The implementation of the PM SHRI scheme in Kerala is part of a BJP–CPM deal. The claim that Congress is implementing it is completely wrong,” he said.
“The Centre’s stance is that we should study Godse instead of Gandhi. Congress will never accept that. Is the ₹1,400 crore being given as a bribe for implementing it?” Venugopal asked.
He also urged the CPI to stay firm in its stand. Venugopal was speaking to the media in Kozhikode.
