Kozhikode: According to latest reports, the illicit transactions from Kozhikode Corporation’s bank accounts in Punjab National Bank(PNB) totalled Rs 14.5 crore.
The earlier reports said malpractices worth Rs 2.53 crore happened, but with Corporation's review on Kudumbashree related accounts shed light on another malpractice worth Rs 10 crore.

The Corporation has 13 accounts with PNB Link Road Branch. The Coporation’s police complaint that PNB’s employee swindled more than Rs 98 lakh is the epicentre of the recent developments.
PNB returned Rs 2.53 crore that was found missing. The employee has been suspended.
Meanwhile, auditing wing under PNB’s Chennai zone has been looking into the alleged illicit transaction happened in the branch. The exact scale of malpractice, the modus of operandi and money value can be determined only after that.
