A school bus crash in Idukki’s Adimali leaves 16 students injured. Brake failure suspected as bus hit a wall and pole after losing control.

Adimali, Idukki: A school bus lost control and crashed into a private compound wall and an electricity pole on Saturday afternoon, leaving 16 students injured.
The accident happened around 3 pm on the Desheeyam–Powerhouse Road, part of the Udumbanchola–Randam Mile stretch near Broadwin Resort. The bus, belonging to St. Sebastian’s High School, Pottankadu, was returning after students had completed their Class 9 examinations and a school event.
More than 30 students were on board at the time of the crash. All 16 injured students were initially admitted to a private hospital in Kunchithanny.
After preliminary treatment, four students with serious injuries were shifted to a hospital in Adimali for specialised care, while the others remain under observation.
