Thrissur: The man who allegedly assaulted a patient at the Government Medical College Hospital has been arrested.
Dayalal, the accused, is a temporary employee of Kodungallur Taluk Hospital.
He sexually abused a woman who arrived at the taluk hospital after attempting to take her own life. The woman was referred to the medical college hospital and the accused accompanied her in the ambulance.
He told the medical college hospital staff that he was her relative. He also followed the survivor to the room and abused her.
The survivor later told a nurse at the medical college who informed the doctors and the police.
Police immediately nabbed the accused.
