Kasaragod: The national highway in Kasaragod city will be closed for 12 hours at night due to maintenance work on a flyover. The closure will be from 9 p.m. on Monday to 9 a.m. the next day. The road will be shut down for concreting work on the 150-metre road that stretches between Nullippady Ayyappa Temple and the Kasaragod new bus stand.

The Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) stated that the road will be blocked because concrete machines or equipment will be placed on the service road. These machines cannot be placed near the new bus stand as legal disputes are still ongoing over the demolition of Mundol Arcade.

Traffic control plans

For traffic control, vehicles coming from the Mangaluru side will be redirected from the new bus stand through M.G. Road to continue their journey via Kanhangad-Kasargod state highway.

Police have also informed vehicles coming from Cherkala to return through Vidyanagar- Chowki -Uliyathadukka route and Madhur road.
