Kochi: Kerala High Court on Thursday asked the police why they haven't arrested KSRTC officials who thrashed a man at the Kattakada depot.

The Government told the court that the employees are on the run. The court noted that KSRTC has taken the best measures possible. It appreciated the managing director for extending an apology.

MD informed the court that the official who videographed the attack had threats from the employees and he was transferred to another location.

Though a special probe team was formed by the police, it could not track the accused yet. Search focusing on the family members of the accused are progressing. Meanwhile, the accused may approach court for anticipatory bail.

Meanwhile, allegations of high-level influence have also arisen as some of the accused belong to CITU-affiliated union.

Premanan was beaten up by KSRTC employees on Tuesday after he questioned the delay in approving the request for student concession for his daughter.
