Alappuzha: CPM leader and Ambalapuzha MLA H Salam criticized former minister G Sudhakaran for his recent remarks over not getting invited to the inauguration of the super speciality block in Alappuzha Medical College. Salam alleged that the veteran CPM leader is intentionally creating unwarranted controversies.
The other day, Sudhakaran expressed displeasure over officials not inviting him, former health minister KK Shailaja, and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal to the inauguration. In a post shared on Facebook, the CPM leader mentioned his contributions to the growth of the medical college. However, Sudhakaran's remarks received harsh criticism from the LDF camp.
"Former MLAs from the district were not invited in 2016 when the new block was opened in the medical college. However, Sudhakaran, then MLA, was invited to the event. It is normal to invite those public representatives in office to such occasions. However, some tried to create unwarranted controversies ahead of the inauguration," he said while attending the inauguration event.
He opined that it was unnecessary to create controversies since several MLAs and MPs in the past years have contributed to the development of the medical college.
