Thiruvananthapuram: The intelligence wing (GST) officials arrested two people in a case where fake GST bills were created in the name of the areca nut trade. Kattungal Aliyar Ashraff and Shaukat were arrested in the investigations carried out in Kannur and Alappuzha. 

The initial conclusion is that the duo has been involved in tax evasion amounting to Rs 9.5 crores. The swindling came to light in a joint investigation carried out by the intelligence wings of Kerala and Karnataka.
