Trikaripur (Kasaragod): In a shocking incident, the Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravati Express (16346) was jolted as it passed over stones placed on the tracks between Trikaripur and Payyannur railway stations on Sunday. The express train experienced a sudden shake when it was approximately 100 meters from the Beericheri railway gate in Kasaragod.
The incident happened on Sunday night at approximately 7:55 p.m. The locomotive pilot noticed an unusual rumbling noise from the engine and immediately alerted the railway authorities. Responding swiftly, railway staff from Payyannur arrived at the scene and discovered that stones had been spread across the track.

The Chantera police were informed, and they promptly launched an investigation. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the area. In July, a similar case was reported where gravel was found on the railway tracks in Trikaripur, Olavara.
