Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet has decided to revise the order regarding repayment of the deferred salary of the government employees and teachers during the Covid crisis.

The government had directed in a circular issued on February 26 that the share of National Pension Scheme should not be cut from the amount to be refunded. A new circular will be issued excluding this condition.

The cabinet also decided to request the Governor to convene the second assembly session from July 22. The assembly session was scheduled to start on July 21, but was postponed due to holiday on Eid al-Adha (Bakrid).

A total of 49 new posts will be created in the ministerial wing of the state police for the smooth functioning of Kannur City and Kannur Rural District police offices and women battalion. The five junior superintendent posts in Crime Branch will be promoted as senior superintendent posts.
