Kochi: Industrialist and co-producer of the film “Empuraan”, Gokulam Gopalan, appeared at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kochi. He appeared again before the ED following a notice issued to him. He stated that he does not know why he was summoned and claimed that they have done nothing wrong. He also responded that the ED's claim of seizing ₹1.5 crore cash is baseless.

Earlier, searches were conducted at the Chennai office of the Gokulam Group. Following that, Gokulam Gopalan was questioned. He arrived at the Kochi ED office at 12:40 pm on Monday. He stated that their only involvement was in the film industry and that no other irregularities had occurred.

Recently, reports had emerged that the ED had seized ₹1.5 crore in cash during a raid at the main office located in Kodambakkam, Chennai.
