Kochi: A gas tanker lorry overturned in Kalamassery, Ernakulam, causing traffic disruption on the National Highway in the early hours of Thursday. The accident occurred at the TVS junction on the busy route.

The lorry, registered in Karnataka, was coming from Irumpanam and was carrying propellant gas. Fortunately, there was no gas leak or explosion, preventing a major disaster. The driver of the vehicle escaped with no serious injuries.

Although the incident caused a temporary traffic jam, police quickly arrived at the scene and managed to clear the road, restoring normal flow of traffic.
