Thiruvananthapuram: PA Mohammad Riyas has responded to the directive ordering a preliminary investigation based on the letter submitted by the ED in the CMRL-Exalogic case. The MLA claimed that he has committed no wrongdoing whatsoever, there is no reason to fear regardless of how things proceed, and he will face the situation with complete confidence.

The MLA also sharply criticised the double standards of the Congress party, which raises its voice against the ED at the national level. He noted that Congress was a party that strongly opposed ED actions when Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were questioned, as well as during raids targeting leaders in Karnataka. However, he stated that the Kerala public will certainly debate their decision to demand an investigation based on a report provided by the very same ED.

He explained his decision to legally challenge the fake news circulated against him regarding this matter. He mentioned that legal notices have already been served to certain individuals. He added that further legal steps would be taken following consultations with lawyers and legal experts.

Mohammad Riyas further said that the party state secretary would address political aspects, emphasising that as he has done nothing wrong, he will move forward with firm confidence.
